Strategic Management

Strategic management refers to decisions made by the general manager of an organization on behalf of its owner for the purpose of increasing its performance in every aspect of its functioning. The strategic management process is a complex one and can only be done by a person who known every internal aspect of an organization and is able to provide information and foresee outcomes of a decision and its alternative.

So what is strategic management? It is a science. A strategic manager is responsible for the well-being of a company when it comes to many aspect of how it functions. The individual or individuals who are enabled with decision making for an entire organization have a great responsibility and can prove to be the reason for success or failure.

Any organization has great use for strategic management as it is the branch that can set up a mission for a company or a business. The manager is charged with offering a vision and objectives of the managerial plan and the exact method in which the goal can be achieved. Also, policies and plans, as well as terms of projects and programs are at the hand of the strategic manager and should be always explained in detail to the owner of the organization for a complete move to be made.

This managerial activity entails a great amount of information regarding the organization and its means of functioning. The person having this complex opportunity must take into account various aspects of the business and foresee a plan that is closely related to what is happening within the organization’s walls at all times.

This sort of management sounds very interesting and yet it is very important as a great deal of responsibility falls in the hands of one single person for most of the time and the future of the organization depends on management strategies.
